Paul: Nice, nice. Brian Hood, from Kansas, congratulations, you won the X10 DVD series, you're going to enjoy it. We will ship it to you, no problem at all there. We've got one last giveaway at the end of the call, and let's keep going. Now, next or new generation affiliates you've talked about, let's go to power affiliates, what is a power affiliate as opposed to a next generation affiliate or new generation affiliate? Anik: This is another term that we're trying to find a way to differentiate between super affiliates. I think super affiliate is a term that's way too widely used now. There's so many different forms of marketing channels now, and affiliates market their sites in so many different ways that we want to find ways to really differentiate. And a power affiliate, in our opinion, is one that has the ability to make bunches of sales. So they're not very consistent, but when they do make sales, they really pile them up. You know, Paul, in a lot of ways in our industry, sometimes we use the word "joint venture partner". And I can probably coin that as someone who is probably a power affiliate, because you know what they're going to do, they're going to send out a promotion through their email list and they're going to bring in all these sales for the next few days, but then it's going to kind of die away as they start promoting other programs, and maybe a month or two months or three months later they're going to come back and promote you again, and then boom, you have an incredible number of sales again, and then it dies away. So it's like, they tend to do it in waves. Anik: And power affiliates are really the individuals who really know how to help you launch a new product. I've always found that if you want to launch a new product and you want to create a lot of PR about it, a lot of buzz, get people crazy about that product, you really want to focus in on your power affiliates, because that's what they do for a living, they know how to create a frenzy, a buzz. And so you're going to see that when you do new product launches, the guys are really going to shine, but when you do competition, that guys that will really shine are your power affiliates. | |||
