Anik: You know, there is really a fine line between super affiliates and power affiliates. A lot of super affiliates have begun to kind of become power affiliates, they do a little of both. But typically when I look at super affiliates, you're looking at someone who will bring in a lot of sales consistently for you. So it might be someone who's ranked high on search engines and give you prime location on the real estate of their site, and you know, every day that location will get X number of clicks and convert into X number of sales. And that, to me, is a traditional super affiliate. But a power affiliate might be someone who has a blog, and he makes a post one day and boom, you get lots of sales. Or has a newsletter, or email list, and boom, you get a lot of sales. Paul: Nice. Super affiliates, power affiliates, new generation affiliates. Different types of affiliates that produce different strategies, which, you know, well, if you have all three in your marketing arsenal, if you will, you're going to act differently than if you just wanted super affiliates. Anik: Yup. Paul: You know, and I know exactly what you're talking about, because there are some people out there who aren't going to bring me one hundred thousand dollars in sales in twenty-four hours. But they're going to put up a link on their web site, and that's going to result in a definable chunk of sales every month as long as this product sells. Having that affiliate on my team is very valuable, very worth the 15-minute call. Having a power affiliate when I launch a new product, you know, make a couple of calls, help me launch the product together, that makes a lot of sense, and obviously the super affiliate, you know, you want as well, they're, you know, the golden egg, if you will, but... different strategies for all of these. And if the only thing you're looking for is a super affiliate, you're going to find yourself only looking for the affiliates with crowds around them and effectively throwing away a lot of potential business. | |||
